JSW Steel plans additional tinplate capacity

JSW Steel plans additional tinplate capacity in India.  In the last year it has installed and commissioned a tinplate mill of 250,000 tonnes per annum and related facilities at its Tarapur unit.  In its 2019 annual report JSW Steel has reported that it has decided to set up another tinplate mill with capacity of 250,000 tonnes per annum at the same location.  The proposed new tinplate line will take JSW’s capacity to 600,000 tonnes per annum, including 100,000 tonnes from its 50% ownership of Vallabh Tinplate.
